In 1953, original owners, Lee & Edith
Rigsby tore down an old barn and built
the first cabin in the 'Broken Arrow Resort'. The cabin was called 'the lodge' because
it could sleep several children.
Over the years the cabins were used by vacationers and as a camp for the Boy
Scouts and Girl Scouts. 'The lodge' now belongs to Bob & Delores Sowders and
has been a vacation get-a-way for family
and friends. It has been newly renovated making it a very charming and affordable vacation get away.
